Nov 14 | AVID program's 2nd annual Fall Rummage Sale!

fall09letter-rummagesale.jpgIt’s that time again! We are pleased to announce our 2nd annual Fall Rummage Sale! The AVID program at Terra Linda High School will take your unwanted items! The money we raise through this event will be used to support our program (visits to local colleges and other enrichment activities).

The Rummage Sale will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the main entrance of Terra Linda High from 7:00 am- noon. Free Starbucks will be provided with the purchase of one of our items! We will also sell other baked goods and drinks. If you would like to donate to this event, please contact our teachers, Maria Tinnel at mtinnel@srcs.org or Lisa Cummings at lcummings@srcs.org. We are accepting donations in the following categories: shoes, clothes, kitchenware, books, movies, children’s toys, and furniture/other household items.

To streamline our collection of sellable items, we are asking families to bring those donations on any Thursday or Friday between now and the date of our event. AVID is a college preparatory elective course designed for first-generation college-bound students. We have added an additional section of AVID this year, bringing the number of AVID students to over 50! Your generosity allows us to continue our work to support AVID students’ college dreams!

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
AVID Students
