Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Friends:
It is my pleasure to announce that Terra Linda High School will host our annual spring semester Eighth Grade Parent Night on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. The presentation will be held in our PerformanceCenterat 7:00 p.m.
The evening will feature an overview of our curricular and co-curricular programs, online course selection procedures and specific policies and practices that our incoming students and their families are sure to find of both interest and benefit.
The presentation will include an opportunity to meet the Terra Linda High School Administration and Counseling teams, discussions of our many and varied College Preparatory, Honors and Advanced Placement course options and a preliminary introduction to the concept of a “four-year” academic plan. In addition, we will discuss the specific ways in which new students may join our many exemplary co-curricular programs (athletics, clubs and activities). Further, at the conclusion of the formal presentation, guests will have the opportunity to converse and ask questions of current Terra Linda High School parents.
As students (and their families), contemplate the transition from middle school to high school; there are often many associated questions, concerns and perhaps even anxieties. Terra Linda High School is committed to providing your sons and daughters with an exciting, enriching, and rigorous educational experience. It is our hope that we answer your many questions and alleviate any possible concerns during the course of our presentation.
Your attendance at this presentation is a critical first step in your son or daughter’s freshman year; including those parents who have worked with us in the past. Please join us for what we believe will be both a valuable and interesting evening.

Queridos Padres & Amigos del Octavo Grado:
Es un placer anunciar que la Escuela Secundaria Terra Linda acogerá nuestro semestre de primavera anual de la Noche para Padres del Octavo Grado el Miércoles, 15 de Febrero, 2012. La presentación se celebrará en nuestro Centro de Actuación a las 7:00 p.m.
La noche contará con una visión general de nuestros programas curriculares y extraescolares, procedimientos de selección de cursos en línea y reglamentos específicos y prácticas que nuestros estudiantes ingresantes y sus familias están seguros de encontrar de interés y beneficio.
La presentación incluirá una oportunidad para conocer a nuestros equipos de la Administración Escolar y Consejería, debates de nuestros numerosos y variados cursos Preparatorios a nivel Colegial, Honores y Colocación Avanzada opciones de cursos y una introducción preliminar al concepto de un plan académico de "cuatro años". Además, analizaremos las formas específicas en que nuevos estudiantes podrán unirse a nuestros muchos programas extraescolares ejemplares (atletismo, clubes y actividades). Además, al final de la presentación formal, los invitados tendrán la oportunidad de conversar y hacer preguntas a los actuales padres de la Secundaria de Terra Linda.
Como los estudiantes (y sus familias), contemplan la transición de la escuela intermedia a la secundaria; a menudo hay muchas preguntas asociadas, preocupaciones e inquietudes.
